Ziggy

Ziggy

ADOPTED_!!!

You may remember Ziggy from a few months back. We took him and his sister in from Grabouw, mangy and sickly. Ziggy had a great gusto for life, while his sister struggled to thrive. (She was sent to heaven, and a postmortem revealed that she was born with only one lung :( ) Ziggy also had his share of issues, and was eventually diagnosed with HOD (hypertrophic osteodystrophy) which caused spells of paralysis as his growth plates got inflamed in his front legs. This also caused severe pain and we just helped and medicated Ziggy through these spells. Even though HOD can cause longterm damage, symptoms stop when the puppy reaches maturity. We could not adopt Ziggy out during this time as we did not know what to expect and whether or not these episodes will increase or cause deformity. Well we are happy to say that it has been MONTHS since he had any issues, is 100% healthy, and we do not foresee any further episodes. Ziggy is also now around 8 or 9 months old, so has possibly outgrown it, or it never was HOD Either way - Ziggyzoo, is now officially up for adoption. Size: Small medium Other Dogs: Excellent Cats: Chancer but harmless Sock eater level: Pro But let's also be honest......Ziggy is a little sh*t. He WILL steal ALL your socks, he likes to browse in the trash, he has no manners (bad foster mom)...but he absolutely oozes personality, and since we first met him, nothing could ever get him down. If you are a slightly crazy family and like your canines silly and goofy, Ziggy is waiting to hurricanine through your life <3 loveisrescue@gmail.com
