Adoption Fee

R750 for a dog- this includes sterilisation, deworming & vaccinations up to date. 
R600 for a cat - this includes sterilisation, deworming & vaccinations up to date and viral testing. 
 
If you are interested in any of our beautiful souls then you will need to do the following,

1. Phone us - we are not available over email during the day as we have a shelter to run which is a hands on job

2. Come through and see us, this way we know you are serious about an adoption.

3. Fill out a home check form.

4. We will contact you to do the home check and if approved then you may come through and collect your new addition to your family if they are ready to leave FORA.

5. Please remember if you adopt a puppy or kitten then they MUST be brought back for their booster vacs otherwise the first vac was wasted and they will still not be covered against those diseases - and of cos bring them back for sterilisation as per our adoption agreement (we will contact you to arrange a date)

 ***NB*** Please note that your home check will not be approved if you have any unsterilised dogs or cats at home!

FORA is a Right to Life animal shelter that cares for approximately 470 dogs and 230 cats that have been abandoned, abused, neglected or no longer wanted. FORA work on the 3 ‘R’ principle to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Re-home as many animals as it can. FORA is non-profit organization who relies totally on support from the public and business sector to run the shelter and care for the animals.
